Our Civil Engineering team use the leading modelling and analysis software to provide tailored, cost effective solutions on a project specific basis. Working with the client, architects, M&E designers & contractors JRA to ensure optimum designs for each project. Ongoing stakeholder liaison is key and JRA engage with the Local Authorities and various State Agencies on our clients behalf. Services provided below are from feasibility through preliminary design, detailed design, procurement, construction and final certification stages.

Telecom Infrastructure Design & Planning Services
Initially working on behalf of Colite, a semi state agency, in 2015 JRA surveyed and mapped over 130 telecom sites nationwide. Since then JRA have expanded organically into the telecoms infrastructure sector providing design services in respect of Streetworks Solutions, Rural Connectivity Solutions and Small Cell City Solutions. Working for clients such as Cignal Infrastructure and subsequently Cellnex Ireland JRA have built a dedicated telecoms infrastructure design unit.
Working on behalf of Cignal Infrastructure and Cellnex, JRA have been at the forefront of streetworks telecoms design and planning in Ireland since 2018.

Structural Engineering
JRA provide a full range of structural engineering services on a wide range and complexity of projects across the full spectrum of sectors and build types. Efficient and appropriate structural solutions are the goal with attention to detail and buildability. Our senior structural consultant has over 40 years experience in a wide range of build types and projects and is a Chartered Engineer in Ireland and the UK.

Assigned Certifier
On projects where we are appointed as consulting civil/structural engineer, we can also offer the services of Assigned Certifier under BCAR 2014.
Project Supervisor Design Process
On projects where we are appointed as consulting civil/structural engineer, we can also offer the services of PSDP under the current Health and Safety (Construction) Regulations.
Site Feasibility Appraisals
An important service JRA carry out is reviewing sites and pre-purchase/ pre planning stage. A desk top review of roads access, services, ground conditions, flood risk, zoning and other relevant site issues. This is provided in a report format for the clients consideration.
Building Inspection Reports
Building inspection surveys and reports for pre – purchase and due diligence.
Building Energy Ratings
On residential projects where we are appointed as consulting civil/structural engineer, we can also offer provisional and final Building Energy Ratings as may be required.
